Meet Love Ebunlola Samuel
Gotname: Who would you say you are?
Love: Love Ebunlola Samuel is a writer, storyteller, published author, educationist with a Masters degree in Global Media from the prestigious University of Westminster, London, B.A in Linguistics (best graduating student) from the University of Abuja, and a PGDE in Education from the Nigerian Teachers Institute.
Her first published book, 31 MORNINGS sold out physical copies twice and its electronic copy is still highly sought after. She loves to tell stories that educate, entertain, make you reflect, cause you to burst out laughing and shed a tear too.
She is the current Principal of Redemption
Academy Schools and is also the founder of PROJECT ONE KADUNA (@projectonekaduna), a non profit organisation that takes less privileged children off the streets and get them enrolled in school.
She is married to her best friend, Ehigocho Samuel, and together they have three lovely children- Oluwanifemi, Raphael and Joshua.
Gotname: Why a children’s book, would you say you are living your purpose?
Love: Yes, I am living my purpose. I love to tell stories. It’s my tool of evangelism. So I write for adults and children- everyone basically.
Gotname: One tip on how to write a children’s book?
Love: A tip on writing children’s books would be to allow your imagination run wild. They love the intrigue so keep them interested in flipping the pages.
Gotname: Any other area of specialty, school, talent, and all?
Love: I am a singer. I have 2 songs released and many others in the pipeline. I am a teacher, Principal and one of the directors of Redemption Academy.
Gotname: Who is your Major influencer?
Love: My mum is my major influencer. I am also inspired by Bella Dissu and Sarah Jakes Roberts.
Gotname: Where is your safe place?
Love: My house is my safe place. I am a home buddy; so being with family is my safe place.
Gotname: How do you balance being a Mother and worker?
Love: I balance being a working mum and wife by prioritizing whatever role is most important per time. I always tell myself “I can do everything, just not at the same time”.
Gotname: Would you want to share an experience with trauma and how you delt with it?
Love: The fool proof solution to dealing with trauma is speaking up and staying away from toxic environments. Once my peace is tampered with, I leave that situation or environment as the case may be. Nothing is worth my peace of mind.
Gotname: What advice will you give out there to women and men going through abuse?
Love: To anyone going through abuse, women especially, know that God would pick you in a heartbeat over your marriage. You are precious in his eyes and He loves you and would hate to see you die without achieving your purpose. So please, choose life.
