Police Brutality
The delirious, leading the frustrated,
A nation wails and prays,
Streets hold no beauty, the child is gunned down,
The pregnant and the disabled are not spared,
The delirious protector turns citizens into victims.
Silence I hear the sound of silence,
Only murmuring from a distance calling out lies from truth,
Policing turns one off!
Are we not lucky though, to be spared?
God bless the police! My Christian mind says,
But the God of the Bible stands for Justice too,
Truth be told, this violence has an end!
The day we are committed to the truth as a way of living,
That day will be the start of freedom.
End you must end your brutal way!
Stand we will stand speaking your anecdotes,
Revealing the deception!
No! Our voice hail, No to police brutality.
