A Summer Camp Focusing on the Childs Mental Health: Hasken Arewa Foundation Initiative
To a child, the little we can do means the world to them. The only thing that matters is the motivation behind your smile and goodwill. To be amongst children is to be among power, limitless creativity, pure love, and innocence, so while you choose to serve them in any way, know that heaven is where you are serving.
The child’s feelings are often time disregarded or taken for granted and this type of behavior towards them brings about a great deal of havoc. As important as the mental health of an adult is, so is a child’s or young adult’s. They often experience and witness heart-wrenching and horrific violence directly done to them or their loved ones, such events could even be sexual, these events live wounds called trauma and if not treated or delivered from it could become a defining tragic reaction to different life relationships.
At Hasken Arewa Foundation, we make it a priority to pay attention to the soul of the child so the opportunity we offer through education can truly be beneficial. That’s why we are organizing this summer camp, to especially; minister, serve, celebrate a successful end of the 2023 academic calendar and most importantly give them an ear.
