Meet Becca, A Poet at Heart

Love Or Vengeance?

Here is my tale in the hot windy aisle of the north,

I was all fruits like the hamper for kings,
With smiles on this face to share abroad,
They will be grateful I murmured on the way,

The north for me is the virgin bride, for the King,
Willingly I hurried to share my fruits in hand,
They hurried to me, children of the north,
Their eyes hungered beyond my fruits, it was a hunger for love,
Will my hamper of fruits suffice? I asked in silence.

One spoke among them, the big brother of the lot,
His clothes barely covering his flesh,
Looking at my offering in hand with such anger in sight,
It wasn’t the fruits he despised but he bearer of them,
The rest awaited his signal like soldiers in war.

I was caught in between,
Between this beautiful souls, caught in this web of hate
Who now cursed and threw dirt at me, for their chief of the lot had so sentenced,
And between the love I knew they needed like the breath in man
I dropped my hamper of fruits with my smile still alive,
a word of prayer shared in silence for this souls of His.

I will still love the north, for his virgin bride is she,,
And for a moment a ray of hope arose in those eyes of theirs
I knew I’ll love them still, children of the north
In this hot windy aisle of the north where
every bruise and hurt rekindles my love
This is my vengeance, my love for the north!

Quite beautiful. Few things touches the heart and love is chief among. May love-agents like Becca keep dropping like ripe cherries from God’s residence – Heaven.
