Gotname: Who would you say you are?

Ijeoma: I am a bridge of hope between the hopeless and the hope they desperately need. I am light, I am compassion. I am ME!

Gotname: Why the work you do, would you say you are living your purpose?

Ijeoma: Absolutely! I would say I am living out my purpose through Awlpof.

Why Awlpof?

Growing up I am that one who always wants to give no matter how little, it has gotten me into trouble so many times. I love being the reason why someone else has a smile on their face. I don’t like seeing people sad or downcast when I can do something to change the situation.

Gotname: Give us a tip on how to stay a happy girl?

Ijeoma: How to stay a happy girl is by fulfilling purpose! There is this joy that comes from being fulfilled…So one too about staying happy is to fulfill purpose.

Gotname: Any other area of specialty, school, talent, and all? Tell us about your foundation…

Ijeoma: I love to cook, I love to sing too.

Awlpof stands for Adiels widows and Less privileged outreach foundation, it’s a non profit organization that caters for the general wellbeing of widows and Less privileged families internationally but with a special interest in Nigeria.

We have fed more than 150 families and counting, helped more than 30 kids remain in school, paid for caesarian section fees for 7babies,empowered 10widows ,given soft loans to widows ,partnered with non profit in the USA to feed the homeless etc.

Gotname: Who is your Major influencer?

Ijeoma: My major influencer is Jesus Christ, I follow his foot prints. He has a large heart for people especially the neglected and downtrodden.

Gotname: What is your safe place?

Ijoama: My safe place is in God’s will. Once I am in His will and purpose for my life I feel so safe and secure.

Gotname: How do you balance being a mother, wife and a minister?

 Ijeoma: I am a mother, wife, minister, entrepreneur.

Striking a balance was not easy for me at the initial stage but I have come to understand that I need to carry my family along .

In my business and a non profit, ministry my family plays a major role .

They help me set up my work area when I need to go live on Facebook or Instagram.

They help me sort out foodstuffs when we need to reach out to widows and the less privileged.

They help me deliver foodstuffs or honey when I receive orders .

That way I am not doing everything myself .

Gotname: Would you want to share an experience with trauma or violence and how you dealt with it?

Ijeoma: That will be in 2017 when I lost my mum to cancer, it was a terrible period . I slipped in and out of depression, but you know the bible says that all things works together for my good. The bible says that God is very close to the brokenhearted hence I reached out to him and

I got very close to the holy spirit during that period and it has helped me a great deal up till today.

Gotname:  What advice will you give out there to women and men going through abuse?

Ijeoma: I would encourage them to lay all at that master’s feet and then see the reason for that abuse.

There is gain for every pain we go through we just have to look at it through the eyes of the spirit and see what the lord wants to birth through that pain.

 Biography

Ijeoma Christiana Egwuiyi is a wife, mum, entrepreneur, philanthropist/humanitarian.

I have a diploma in computer science from the University of Abuja BSc in and Economics from University of Abuja.

 I live in Abuja Nigeria with my family. I love Jesus passionately and always love to show his love to whoever needs it .

I run Awlpof a non profit organization that caters for the general wellbeing of widows and Less privileged families internationally with a special interest in Nigeria.

I also run Adie signature an online shop that helps Nigerians in the diaspora to source for foodstuffs, honey, fabrics, spices etc. from Nigeria and deliver to their doorstep wherever they are in the world.

I anchor an online talk show “Widowed but not withered” It’s an online show that airs live in Facebook and/or Instagram where we bring in widows from every part of the world to tell us how they have been able to rise from the dust of widowhood to become a force to be reckoned with in their various spheres of influence.
