NOW THAT I’M MARRIED
I’ve come to appreciate Mama’s timeless advice, she always says “Be chaste and abstain”
It pleases God and endows you with honour.
I’ve come to appreciate the tranquility of approaching my maker with no iota of unlawful indulgence’s guilt, what serenity to behold!
Most importantly, reflecting on my down times, when I almost lost it, humbles me and puts me in a place of gratitude and brokenness.
In awe of God’s grace and mercy, for being so deliberate and intentional about me.
For choosing to clothe me with graciousness and mercy,
I desire that every young lady out there enjoys such showers of mercy and grace of God.
The sweetness of being in my husband’s company melts my heart and feels almost surreal,
I now understand indeed, marriage is a beautiful adventure and also a journey of consistent compassion, forgiveness, graciousness, empathy and most critically, loving even when I don’t feel like it.
I’ve realized also, marriage is to being subtly stronger, exuding my feminine virtues, consistently doubling up my seal and ambitiousness.
And finally, marriage is personal.
