Out-of-School Children New to Formal Education: A Hasken Arewa Foundation Initiative
Join us @ Hasken Arewa for a boot camp as we add color and relive to our kids.
Out-of-school children who have not had prior exposure to formal education may face significant challenges in adapting to a formal education environment. These challenges may include unfamiliarity with the structure and expectations of a classroom, difficulty with reading and writing, and difficulty with basic math concepts.
However, with appropriate support and resources, out-of-school children can learn to adapt to a formal education environment. For example, they may benefit from specialized programs designed to help them catch up on basic academic skills, such as reading, writing, and math. They may also benefit from individualized attention and support from teachers, who can help them understand and navigate the expectations of a formal education environment.
It is also important to note that out-of-school children often need to bring unique strengths and perspectives to the classroom, such as creativity, resilience, and a willingness to learn. These strengths can be leveraged to help them succeed in a formal education environment.
Overall, while adapting to a formal education environment may be out-of-school of school children, with the right support and resources, can develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school and beyond.
