Nigerian Hero
The green deserts eyes,
Looks upon my weary heart,
The soul of thousand years,
Digging deep a forgotten heart,
Left to its ordeal,
To die of thirst or Nigeria.
Would I have cherished your lips,
If at the top I am with there,
Could I have understood the grieve,
Of many years with thee?
A restless home if I may,
But who is the hero?
Hmmm, Nigeria!
Non I compare with you Nigeria,
Your throne I honor as mine,
But all the bleeding peaceful prosperity in Nigeria,
Have I wondered whose fault, mine?
If only we have a hero,
If only we have a Nigerian hero.
Who is a Nigerian?
A mass of individuals?
Who is this Nigerian?
A president or a commoner;
Who is my Nigerian?
A Christian or Muslim?
My Nigerian is a Hero,
He is not the president,
She is not religious,
She or he is not an individual,
My Hero is a people,
With a purpose to “Love”.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and
gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the
shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched
her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
