What the Husband Doesn’t Know

What the Husband Doesn’t Know

What the husband doesn’t know,
He lays down sleeping, romancing an unused authority, delaying victory,
Like demons invade,
They were upon the wife, after the crown,
While he slept,
In the silence, someone else was whispering,
Right below, she was put to sleep.

What the husband does not know,
He lays there sleeping, tendering another garden,
No praying, no fighting,
He sleeps not knowing, no strategies,
There like demons invade, memories came lying,
Like a fire capable of pulling down,
Silently he puts her to sleep.

The King was asleep when evil came,
What the king doesn’t know, will kill him,
In the quiet, she reached out to the sun, but found night,
Crawling as many women had, seeking love,
Battling desires, taming fantasies,
Silently like all snakes he puts her to sleep.

Husband wakes like fire, an angered lion, defeated by the lust,
When the invasion was over,
What he took for granted, never took him for granted,
The husbands enemy, the subtle viper, has his way with words, without power he kills,

What the husband refuses to see,
Sees him and his only plan is destruction.
