Disappointment can be painted. A photographer can snap a pose, a poet can describe a disappointed eye with words of musical notes and intelligent meter but who can draw hatred, desperation, depression or the feeling of rejection? The world has nothing life liberating to give, than emptiness and total darkness. Earthy wisdom has proven to fail without disappointing. This is why we need God.
We cannot run away from God, who is the creator of our psychology, feelings and body. He who fashioned you, knows how to save your body and keep it at rest.
The processes of writing poems or any piece of art gives opportunity for a purge, what a poet will call ‘Catharsis’, but what happens when a creative mind falls apart to the extend of taking their dear lives? There must be something more than the normal temporary euphoria of expression through art or simply through mere words. Some thing special and capable of keeping the mind from leaving sanity or humanity. There should be a kind of a gauge, that balances the heart and mind from wandering off into madness and bitter viciousness. Maybe someone, who can keep the heart away from lustful and violent inspiration. A powerful force that guides the thoughts that transcends to genuine genius invention and innovation. God can and will keep you sane while you far-off to the realms of creativity, when you experience a bit of His power of creation.
Why suicide, why not take a walk? Take a walk, when you feel low. Go to a garden listen to nature, let them remind you of a greater love and purpose that will not fail. Let the freshness of rain cleanse your shameful tears. Let the sight of the sun give you a glimpse of prosperity, of what is truly yours. Relax under a big shady tree, reminisce about some happy memories and get pleasure from what the future holds. The future is much better, filled with peace, love and happiness. At night meditate about God and the splendour of His grace. His power and plans for you; that He loves you more than any one in the world, that He will never fail you and what the devil meant for evil, he turns it for good.
Walk boldly with shoulders high, He who created you has called you royalty. Rest in Him. You cannot be what God ought to be in a person’s life. Don’t play God, show them God. No one deserve your tears, no one deserve you having to die. Christ did that already. You might not matter to your immediate family, but look closely, he has given you friends, colleagues, acquaintances and love that stick closer than a brother. Don’t forget how He came through for you, in your worst moments, just like other times, this too shall pass. Open your hands in praise, rejoice in love be liberal take a walk. Go watch children playing in a park. Listen to the birds, just leave the place of bitterness. Lovers come and go , it is God who keeps people and if He let them go, let them be too, the best will find you; Take a walk, say no to suicide, exercise gladly with a song, sing loud to the heavens, eat healthy also spiritual food of His words, forgive quickly, identify the triggers of bitterness and depression but don’t dwell there, express yourself, tell God exactly how it hurts, believe God, rest in His love also identify the brokenness in others, motivate them towards God’s rest.
Yes, this is why we need to build a relationship with God, He will whisper to us when to take a walk, run or hide in Him. In our darkest moments He will not walk out. We need God to say no to anxiety, depression, the feeling of being a failure and rejection and suicide. Welcome to freedom and deliverance.
Wait a minute! Do people with an intimate relationship with God go through negative emotions? you may ask, the answer is “Yes” the devil does not rest in fighting your mind with thoughts, that’s why you need God and His word to defend you from the attacks of the enemy. You are victorious, never forget that and I love you.
