You Happen to Me

Something is about to happen,
You will surely steal my heart,
Something is about to happen,
You are bent on capturing my mind,
The hum of the birds as they chirped into the night,
The tinkling sound of clock and crickets, beneath the northern moon,
You are about to happen to me.

A slow motion but timely,
Healing this craving heart, almost muffled,
A calculated tenderness but needed,
Soothing a tightened muscle,
And then you happen.

My heart beats,
My world spines,
And I clasp into your happenings,
You happened to me.
